TVR CHIMAERA

This is a lovely example of the popular Chimaera 4.0 litre from the early years of production. Finished in a lovely light shade of metallic blue the exterior paintwork is very good with only a few chips or marks all round - though you can see more details of those on the video.

The standard wheel are in excellent condition and are fitted with good tyres with excellent tread all round including the rare S02 tyres on the front. The roof is in good condition but has suffered from some ripping on both sides where the hood folds in which is a common fault. The rear screen is all clear and the roof fits and seals well but does need some attention.

Moving to the inside and you find the wonderfully quirky TVR approach to ergonomics, with everything exactly where you don't expect to find it....

TVR models are known for electrical issues, but this one actually has everything working including the wing mirrors and the electric windows. It could no doubt benefit from some TLC in some areas - the seats need a good clean and condition; the carpets a deep clean or replacement mats, but fundamentally its a good car.

The dashboard has suffered the usual cracks and this is a job that many owners choose to change themselves, or change the design to machined aluminium or a different option of wood.

Given the number of small areas needing attention, we have decided to class this as a project car and sell it as such. In other words a car that that is perfectly safe and useable now, but can be improved at the owners leisure in the coming months - rather than us spend the time and money doing something a keen owner can do themselves.

It comes with a folder of bills and documentation; some spares in the boot, a car cover (not opened up); and the Steve Heath fault code reader fitted.

This is a great opportunity to get into a solid Chimaera at a great price and then improve as you drive.
